Republicans Are Not The Friend Of Christianity

Democrats most certainly aren’t

The hybridization of conservative Christianity is rampant in the Republican party

And this hybridization is not for the better. There is precious little in the Republican party that resembles the true ideals, values and the writings of the New Testament, and not that it was ever intended to. For some time it appeared that the Republican party shared some of the values of Christianity, but as Christianity has become more and more subjective, and more like the world, the Republican party has wandered further away from embracing, or coexisting with, the values of conservative biblical Christianity. The Democrat party has no relationship to conservative Christianity, at all. You can’t be pro-choice and be a conservative bible believing Christian. You can’t be pro-LBGTQ and be a conservative biblical Christian. You can’t be anti-everything, relating to Christianity and Israel, while professing to be a Democrat, and still be a conservative bible believing Christian.

True conservative Bible believing Christians shouldn’t care in the least bit about politics, from either party. But too many Christians look to the Republican party as the party for Christians, at least Evangelical Christians. It isn’t. Not in the least bit. And professing Democratic members of the black community’s Christian population are so completely at odds with conservative biblical values relating to abortion, the acceptance of the LBGTQ community, and the role of Christianity in our society that their actions have moved from anomalous behavior to almost total spiritual deception.

Does everyone agree with this position? Of course not. Just today a story was published about Fox News personality Tomi Larhen supporting Justice Gorsuch’s landmark gay rights opinion which took place on Monday (see Supreme Court Justices Come Out Of The Closet). Ms. Larhen stated on her show that the conservative ideology should be inclusive enough to accept the Supreme Court’s decision. Ms. Lahren went on to say that, “You can be Christian, conservative, and a proud Trump supporter and believe people should not be fired for who they love or the lifestyle they lead outside of the workplace.” Her statement is nothing but gross ignorance.

That is the problem with the hybridization of Christianity. People like Ms. Lahren provide their opinions without regard for what the Bible actually says. All her statement did, aside from outing another member of the Republican party as proof that the party is not one filled with conservative Christian principles and ideas, is to out herself as another Republican having no knowledge of what the Bible actually says, and the possibility that her salvation was based on some misunderstanding of biblical principles or not based on any at all.

The Bible is quite clear on the subject of associations in the world and the acceptance of sin. Don’t do it! What more discussion is needed. Unfortunately 1000 words is now necessary when 50 would have been sufficient years ago. The direction of Christianity in the Republican Party is not good. It looks bleak. The good news is that it was ordained to happen. It was prophetic. This is part and parcel of the falling away that gives rise to the ideology of the world, the Antichrist, and the last days. True Christianity is not growing, it is being suffocated. Its ranks are being thinned out and replaced with a social gospel. It will become easier and easier for those in opposition to box in and cancel the culture of true believing Christians. Look around you.

The most important thing you can do to show your support for true conservative biblical principles is to not associate with those who don’t. While God sees all and you will be rewarded for your efforts, in the end, it won’t make a difference here on earth with the exception of by calling out those that are in error you might save one or two. If you are truly a temple of God why would you take your temple and associate with someone who, by default, is a child of, as is controlled and manipulated by, the Devil.  It’s your choice!
