Are Women Preachers Biblical?

The women are to keep silence in the churches; for it is not permitted to them to speak but to be subordinate as is said in the law. –1 Corinthians 14:34

But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man. She must remain quiet. 13 For Adam was formed first and then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. –1 Timothy 2:14

The Bible is quite clear on one aspect of the subject of women teaching/preaching in the church—they are not allowed. But that doesn’t mean that a woman can’t teach or preach. I happen to find that there are a number of highly intelligent, motivated, and gifted women speakers that I enjoy listening to. But they simply can’t speak in a church setting.  The Bible is silent beyond that. So, can a woman preach at a women’s conference. I don’t see why not. Just not in churches.
